Terms of service
Last updated: 1 August 2026
These Terms govern your use of im9hxv-e0.myshopify.com and any purchase you make from it. The Site is operated by Fahd Yanouri, whose French business registration is currently in progress, of 15bis Rue de la Liberté, 77360 Vaires-sur-Marne, France, trading as LUMEA.
By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
3.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase from the Site. By placing an order you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
3.2 Products
We make every effort to display product colours and details accurately, but we cannot guarantee that your screen displays them faithfully. Product images are illustrative.
We reserve the right to limit quantities, refuse any order, and discontinue any product at any time. All descriptions and prices are subject to change without notice.
3.3 Prices and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) and are exclusive of any import duties or taxes that may be charged on delivery. Payment is taken at the time you place your order.
You are responsible for any customs duties, import VAT, or handling fees applied by the authorities in your country. These are not included in the price you pay us and are not refundable by us.
3.4 Order acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation. If we cannot accept your order — for example because the item is out of stock, the price was listed in error, or the order is flagged as fraudulent — we will notify you and refund you in full.
3.5 Safety information and contraindications
Read this section before using any LUMEA device. LUMEA devices emit LED light, including red and near-infrared wavelengths. LED light therapy is well tolerated by most people, but it is not suitable for everyone, and the light is bright enough to present a hazard to the eyes.
Eye safety
Keep your eyes closed for the whole session and do not look directly into the LEDs. Where eye shields are supplied with the device, use them. Stop immediately and seek medical advice if you experience eye pain, persistent afterimages, or blurred vision. Do not use the device on anyone who cannot reliably keep their eyes closed for the full session.
Do not use a LUMEA device if any of the following applies to you
- Photosensitivity — you have a photosensitive condition such as lupus, porphyria, solar urticaria or polymorphic light eruption, or you are otherwise known to react abnormally to light.
- Epilepsy — you have epilepsy, or any condition in which seizures may be triggered by flashing or pulsing light.
- Photosensitising medication — you are taking or have recently taken any medication that increases sensitivity to light. This includes, without limitation, isotretinoin and other retinoids, tetracycline and other antibiotics, St John's wort, certain diuretics, certain antidepressants and certain anti-inflammatories. Check the patient information leaflet for your medication, and ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding — the effects of LED light therapy during pregnancy and breastfeeding have not been established.
- Skin cancer or undiagnosed lesions — you have, or have had, skin cancer or pre-cancerous lesions, or there is a lesion in the treatment area that has not been examined by a doctor.
- Thyroid conditions — this device covers the neck. If you have a thyroid condition, speak to your doctor before use, or treat the face only.
- Eye conditions — you have a retinal disorder or another eye condition that makes you sensitive to bright light, or you have had eye surgery recently.
- Recent facial treatments — you have had chemical peels, laser resurfacing, microneedling or injectables in the treatment area within the past two weeks, unless your practitioner has advised otherwise.
- Broken or inflamed skin — the treatment area has open wounds, an active infection, cold sores, severe sunburn, or skin that is broken or irritated.
Never use the device
- with your eyes open, or without eye protection where it is supplied;
- on broken, infected, or sunburned skin;
- immediately after applying a product containing a photosensitising ingredient, such as a retinoid or a strong exfoliating acid;
- on anyone under 18;
- for longer than the session length stated in the instructions, or more frequently than recommended.
Before your first full session
Use the device on a small area first, following the instructions supplied, and wait 24 hours. If you experience persistent redness, itching, swelling, headache, or eye discomfort, stop using the device and seek medical advice.
3.6 Not a medical device — no medical claims
Products sold on this Site are cosmetic skincare appliances intended for personal use. They are not medical devices. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
Nothing on this Site — including product descriptions, marketing material, customer reviews, blog content, and any correspondence from us — constitutes medical advice, and it must not be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
If you have any skin condition, any medical condition, or any doubt at all about whether the product is suitable for you, consult a doctor or dermatologist before use. Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you have read on this Site.
Results vary between individuals. We make no guarantee of any particular result, and any results described on the Site are not a promise of the results you will achieve.
3.7 Your responsibilities
You agree to read the instructions supplied with the product in full before use, to use the product only as instructed, and to stop using it and seek advice if you experience an adverse reaction. You agree not to use the product on any other person who would be excluded under section 3.5.
3.8 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for the product concerned.
We are not liable for injury, loss, or damage resulting from use of a product contrary to the instructions supplied, use by a person to whom a contraindication in section 3.5 applies, or use after an adverse reaction has occurred.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability under product liability law and any statutory warranty owed to consumers.
3.9 Intellectual property
All content on the Site — text, images, logos, and design — is owned by us or licensed to us and may not be reproduced without our written permission.
3.10 Prohibited uses
You may not use the Site for any unlawful purpose, to infringe our or anyone else's rights, to submit false information, to upload malicious code, or to interfere with the security of the Site.
3.11 Third-party content
The Site may contain links to third-party sites and may display customer reviews. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content. Customer reviews reflect the personal experience of the reviewer only and are not claims made by us.
3.12 Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on the Site. The version in force at the time you place your order is the version that applies to that order.
3.13 Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law, and the courts of France have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country where the law allows.
